Is the money paid out of it deductible

Can I itemize medical expenses that I paid for out of my HSA account? The answer is no. (source) Although this is not an official answer, it makes sense.

In CA, it is state tax deductible

$17,500 per person in 2013 and 2014, $18,000 in 2015

Standard deductible

Estimated for 2014: $6,200 individual, $12,200 family (source)

2015: $12,260 for family source

IRA limit

Full amount is $5500, for married filling jointly, with a modified AGI of <=$96,000. This amount is per person. For AGI $116,000 or more, no deduction.

It can be borrowed out for 60 days. There does not seem to be a limit on the amount.

AGI: Line 38 of 1040, is before standard/itemized deductions.

Contributions can be made to a prior year until Apr.15
